| Dundalk Town Council has passed a vote of support for local man Steve Staunton, whose term as Republic of Ireland manager has come to an end after 21 months in charge. At last night's monthly meeting, Chairman Jim Darcy said he was better off away from the FAI. The vote of support was proposed by Councillor Jim Ryan who said Steve Staunton had been subjected to a dreadful ordeal and unjustified attacks from the media and elsewhere in recent months. | |
